Patricia A. (P.A.) Moss has been a valued member of the firm since April 1987, and has been in public accounting since 1980. She is an Enrolled Agent to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, and as such, she prepares individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns for many of our individual and small business clients.

She is responsible for the administration and accounting for most of our clients’ retirement plans and prepares the annual government forms and related documents. She also reviews the clients’ compliance with federal non-discrimination rules and other requirements of the plan documents.

Accounting and bookkeeping services she provides include account reconciliations; general ledger maintenance; maintenance of the clients’ payroll records; preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports to include forms W-2 and 1099s; preparation of compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements; as well as preparation of several other government returns, such as business license applications, personal property tax returns and sales and use tax returns. She also reviews clients’ compliance with various rules and regulations regarding independent contractors and employees.

Education

Associate in Applied Science, with a major in commercial art and specialization in commercial photography, Northern Virginia Community College, 1988.

Coursework towards Associate and Bachelor degrees include: federal individual, partnership, and corporate income taxation; business law; auditing; basic and intermediate accounting principles; cost accounting; and economics.

Continuing professional education includes coursework in Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements and standards; Federal and Virginia estate and gift tax planning and reporting requirements; advance federal individual income taxation; and NSPA preparatory course for IRS enrollment examination.
